Department of Computer Science and Engineering is headed by
Prof. Parameshwarappa C M, M.Tech. (Software Engineering)
The department is imparting a quality education, keeping in mind the important role of software in the industry and in providing service to the better social life and overall development of mankind.
Computer Science & Engineering department was established in the year 1994 with the Intake of 60. Now the intake of the department is 90.

The department has enough number of computers of the reputed brands like IBM, IBM Xeon Server and HP HT machines with 2 Mbps Leased Line Internet connectivity. |

Department has subscribed to Microsoft Academic Alliance program, which helps to get all the necessary software required by Staff and Students to carry out state of the art projects.

IEEE digital subscription has been done to encourage research activities amongst faculty members and students

Association Activities |
“BYTE ZONE”, the association of Department of Computer Science & Engineering is. involved in conducting the technical seminars, skill improvement programs and workshops.
Principal of the college Dr. S K Raikar inaugurated the activities of the association for the year 2006-2007 on 18 th October 2006. He insisted to conduct various technical activities under the banner of “Byte Zone”.
Prof. Parameshwarappa C M, HOD of the department adviced the students to develop Soft Skills to add more values to their personalities. The HOD also deliverd a seminar on Personality Development. This was followed by a presentation by Mr. Sirish, Microline Electronics Pvt. Ltd., Davangere on the Campus Networking at STJIT.
This was followed by Welcome program to Freshers.
