Department of Information Science and Engineering is headed by Prof. S G Makanur , M Tech.
The department is developed to impart a quality education, keeping in mind the important role of software in the industry and in providing service to the better social life and overall development of mankind.
The Department was Established in the year 2001 with the Intake of 40. Now the intake is 60.

The department has enough number of computers of the reputed brands like IBM, IBM Xeon Server and HP HT machines with Internet access facility. |

Association Activities |
“Info Vista”, The association of Department of Information Science & Engineering is involved in conducting the technical seminars, skill improvement programs and workshops. S
Principal Dr. S K Raikar inaugurated our department new laboratory on March 10th 2006. Department Association Info Vista with the caption “CREATING THE WINNING CULTURE” was inaugurated on 29 th April 2006 and there was a technical talk on Digital Image Processing by Mr. Sreekanta Murthy, HOD of IS Department, A I T, Bangalore. Cultural events such as quiz, and pick & speak were conducted on the same day.
The department has got cent percent result in the 7 th Semester.
Staff and Students of the department have attended and presented paper several seminars and workshops conducted at different institutions.
